2. Vacuum your blinds or shutters. Vacuuming can be a great way to clean your blinds when you’re short of time. Use a brush attachment to avoid damaging your slats and to ensure that you get the best results, and always start from the top of the blind and work downwards.
3. Wash your blinds. Washing your blinds is more time consuming but ensures a more thorough clean, so may be a job you do once a year. You should remove your blinds from your windows and place them in a bucket or bathtub containing cleaning solution. You can use white vinegar and lavender oil for an easy homemade solution. Allow the slats to soak for ten minutes, and gently scrub them with a soft brush. Rinse them in clean water, and allow them to dry completely before you rehang them.
