Venetian blinds, vertical blinds and plantation shutters are all simple to clean with your vacuum brush, which means it’s easy to give them a quick once-over to remove dust and debris as part of your general cleaning routine.
- Simplify washing. For a deep clean, or when you’re spring cleaning, you may wish to wash your blinds to ensure that they’re looking their best. Many blinds for bathrooms and kitchens are designed to be waterproof, so you can simply wipe them over with a damp cloth, but you can also soak stains with mild detergent or stain remover as long as you are careful to dab, not rub, at the fabric. Always do a patch test in a hidden corner first, so there’s no risk of ruining your blinds!
- Go eco. It’s cheap and easy to get your windows sparkling when you embrace the environmentally friendly option and use a combination of vinegar and water to clean your windows, with a drop of lemon essential oil for a more pleasant fragrance. Don’t worry, though, once it’s dry, the vinegar smell will disappear!
